Boys Basketball

LCL boys basketball went back to state with their second successful run. Last March, they made it to the runners-up spot in the championship game. This year, with a 22-2 season, they found themselves back at the final match.

On Saturday, March 16, 2022, LCL faced the West Salem Panthers. After a close first half, the team pulled ahead in the second half for a 67-56 win, and became State Champions for WIAA Division 3 Boys Basketball.

Congrats to this determined team!

Girls Soccer

LCL girls soccer team took gold for the first time in school history as a stand-alone program. They won the WIAA Division 4 girls state soccer championship, 3-1, over The Prairie School at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee on Saturday, June 18, 2022.

LCL’s Layla Kelbel, Brooke Kerwin, and Grace Daniels all scored second-half goals as the Lightning rallied from a 1-0 deficit in the first half.

LCL had also won a state title in 2012 and a few runner-up titles when it was a co-op with University Lake School.

Congrats to this impressive team!
