College Fairs offer an opportunity for students and parents to visit with a number of Admission Representatives from various colleges and universities in one place. They are now being offered virtually or in person.

FAFSA = Free Application for Federal Student Aid
Beginning October 1st of your son/daughter's senior year you can complete the FAFSA. The FAFSA is the application used by all colleges/universities to award federal student aid. Many scholarships will also require students to complete a FAFSA to determine financial need. Here is the link to the FAFSA. Feel free to contact a college financial aid office with any questions.
The military offers graduates many opportunities including the chance to serve their country, job training, education benefits, travel and more. Students can choose between Military Academies, Reserved Officer Training Corps (ROTC), and enlisting in active service including the Reserves.
Military Academies:
Applying to a Military Academy is a rigorous process which begins during a student's Junior year of high school. An official nomination from a US Congress member, strong academics and physical fitness are required for admission, along with other criteria.

GENERAL INFORMATION: This test should be taken at least once during high school. The test is a college entrance exam and is accepted by most post-secondary institutions. The highest scores are taken and may be necessary to complete applications for education beyond high school. It is best if testing has taken place prior to a student's senior year. The writing portion of the test is encouraged, but please also check with your possible colleges/universities to see if they require it for admission.
