About Lake Country Lutheran High School

Lake Country Lutheran High School (LCL) provides a comprehensive, college preparatory curriculum.  We offer 15 college credit courses and 80+ courses that accelerate students to achieve their future goals.  LCL was founded in 1999 in the "Lake Country" suburbs of Milwaukee (about 2 hours northwest of Chicago).  LCL is a 9-12th grade school with over 350 students.  97% of the students are domestic and 3% are international students.  International students at LCL must be able to communicate using a high level of English because LCL does not offer English Language Services.

Admissions

Application Process

International students that wish to attend LCL, must complete the Application through the LHSAGM World Cultures Program.  The World Cultures Program works to admit domestic boarding students and international students in one of these great schools: Milwaukee Lutheran High School, Martin Luther High School, or Lake Country Lutheran High School.

Mr. Phillip Wingfield is the Director of World Cultures.  Mr. Wingfield has over 35 years in education and over 15 years of experience with international students and securing visas.  He will help you and your family with the application to LCL, securing a J1 or F1 Visa, travel, and anything you need until your first day of school.

Dorm/Living

LCL students may live with a host family or live in our new residence hall.  The new, premier Martin Luther Dormitory (completed August 2020) is designed to give students a University-style living experience.  It is located 30 minutes east of Lake Country Lutheran on its sister school's campus.  Dormitory students are a few minutes’ walk to 50+ restaurants and shopping areas as well as the scenic nature walk on the Root River Parkway.   We are proud to now offer an option for boarding students.
