Is there an entrance exam?

Yes, all students interested in applying to Lake Country Lutheran are required to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). You can register for the entrance exam after submitting the admissions application, as part of your checklist items. The exam includes evaluation of the following:

  • Language skills
  • Reading skills
  • Verbal skills
  • Quantitative skills
  • Mathematics skills
  • Cognitive skills

Does LCL offer transportation?

Yes, we offer transportation with two pick-up locations: Immanuel Lutheran Brookfield and Brookfield Christian School. Morning and evening routes are provided. Please reach out to the Director of Admissions for more information.

How do I apply for tuition assistance?

60% of students receive tuition assistance through various opportunities. Visit our Tuition & Financial Aid page for application instructions for donor funded financial aid, WPCP, SNSP and tax deductions.

Are there scholarships available?

Yes. We currently have 10 scholarships awarded yearly. Eligibility is based on need, merit, or both.

When is the best time of year to apply?

Application for admission begins in late September and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Enrollment cannot be guaranteed after February 1st. Financial aid is also awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to apply early.

What can we expect at an Admissions visit?

During an Admissions Visit at Lake Country Lutheran High School, you will tour the campus, observe the school culture, and meet teachers and staff. This visit provides an opportunity to see classrooms, labs, and other facilities while gaining insight into academic programs and extracurricular activities. You’ll have the chance to ask questions, discuss your family’s educational goals, and determine if LCL is the best fit for your student. Additionally, the admissions process, including important deadlines and required documentation, will be explained to help you make an informed decision. More Information

If my student is not College bound, what programs does LCL offer to prepare them for their future?

LCL has teamed up with WCTC for their Dual Enrollment Programs that offer students the opportunity to train for a trade while attending LCL for required high school courses. LCL also offers a program where student can intern at a local business while attending LCL for their required high school courses.

What is the student dress code?

Students are asked to adhere to five dress code principles, which are available on page 7 of the student & parent handbook.

In short, students should dress appropriately with modesty and restraint.

School Accountability

The State of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction requires our School Association to have two meetings per school year at which members of the governing body of the school will be present and at which all pupils and parents or guardians of all pupils applying to attend the school or attending the school may meet and communicate with Board members. Please check with your choice administrator when the dates occur this year.  All students and parents or guardians are invited to attend.
