Graduation Requirements

LCL students must earn 52 credits for a diploma, with credits allocated as follows:

  • Electives (13)
  • English (8)
  • Mathematics (6)
  • Physical Education (4)
  • Scripture (8)
  • Science (6)
  • Social Studies (6)
  • Fine Arts (1)

Credits come from semester-long (1 credit) or year-long (2 credits) courses. Students generally take seven classes per semester with one study period, though taking eight classes is common, especially for high-ability or musically involved students. During the first two years, due to core curriculum requirements, students take one or two electives, with more electives available in the upper grade levels.

  • Freshman Scripture – 2 credits

  • General Science/Biology – 2 credits
  • World History – 2 credits

Grade 10

Grade 11
