IMG_8002LCL Family,

As we approach Thanksgiving, I find myself reflecting upon the many things for which I am thankful. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 reminds us to rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances. What a fantastic reminder for us to give thanks in ALL circumstances!

There are so many things for which we can give thanks...

We can give thanks for the gift of God’s Son and eternal life in Him! Without Jesus, we would be lost. Praise be to God that we have been given the Crown of Life through Jesus’ resurrection! I am thankful for the privilege we have to share the love of Jesus through our words and actions within a Christian high school setting. What a privilege it is to rely upon Biblical Truth as the foundation for all we do at LCL.

We can give thanks for the LCL students! God has blessed us with opportunities to help the students learn and grow as unique children of God. Each day, we are provided with opportunities to guide and mentor the students as they navigate the troubles and temptations of this world. Even when they stumble, we are blessed to hold them accountable with discipline and loving correction. We are so thankful for the ministry we have as we help the students make God-pleasing decisions and live their lives in accordance to His will.

We can give thanks for the parents of the LCL community! Each child is a blessing from God, and we rejoice along with the parents in the joys, celebrations, and challenges that accompany each childs journey. We are blessed that the LCL parents have entrusted us with mentoring their children, and we are grateful for our common goals and mission.

IMG_7446We can give thanks for the LCL faculty and staff! As I work alongside the LCL faculty and staff, I truly appreciate their commitment to the Lord and their service to others. I am thankful for the LCL faculty and staff as they work tirelessly to minister to our students and families. God has richly blessed the LCL community, and we are grateful for the talented men and women who have answered God’s Call to serve others within the LCL community.

As we embrace the opportunity to give thanks in ALL circumstances, I hope and pray that you have a restful Thanksgiving holiday with your family and friends and that you have dedicated time to reflect upon Christ’s love and sacrifice for us all.

Thanksgiving Blessings!
