JUNIORS

Standardized Testing Juniors should begin preparation for taking the ACT and/or SAT tests during this school year. It is suggested that students take these tests two or three times before their senior year. Check the "ACT/SAT" link for more information. The PSAT is also offered in October of Junior year.

Spring Semester Meetings All juniors meet with Mrs. Olver after they have registered and requested classes for their senior year. Topics of these meetings with students include planning for college, how to apply to college, and career/major ideas. Students meet with Mrs. Olver during the school day and are scheduled from February through April.

Check out the guidance home page for information on area college fairs so you can start looking!

Other things to consider
  1.  Consider taking more challenging courses if you are doing well
  2.  Continue involvement in activities (school and volunteer service) - consider leadership roles
  3.  Visit colleges during the summer before and after your junior year

Class of '15, Ross

"My relationship with my teachers has been so special. Not only are they teaching math, social studies and sciences, they’re teaching you how to be a husband, wife, father. They’re setting the example, and they lead by example. What they say in their chapels and devotions before class, they live that outside of school."

"I teach music and art because I love hearing and seeing students' expressiveness coming out through their musical performances or artwork. It's just an awesome bonus that I'm able to do what I love to do and integrate my faith into this aspect of my life. Seeing the Holy Spirit working in and through faculty and students is amazing, and seeing the love of Christ shine when students sing is not really a job, but an awesome privilege!"
