LCL ADMISSIONS

The admission process is established to determine whether enrollment at Lake Country Lutheran is a good fit for the student and for the school.  Lake Country Lutheran accepts and reviews applications from any students who have met the school’s criteria for enrollment. If circumstances exist that would significantly prevent the student from being successful at Lake Country Lutheran, admission may be denied.

Application

Complete the Lake Country Lutheran High School Admissions Application!  Please reach out if you have any questions or feedback as we continue to improve the admissions process for our families.  Note that if records are falsified or information is withheld, a student's acceptance will be impacted and the student will be asked to withdraw.

Acceptance

Upon receipt of your Admissions Application and a thorough review of student records you will receive notification of acceptance from your Admissions Application
  • All freshmen are required to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT).  This test is administered at Lake Country Lutheran in the Fall and in the Spring.  The test is also administered at many other high schools in the area.
  • All prospective student applications will be reviewed by Lake Country Lutheran administration. That review can include, but is not limited to, the academic, attendance, behavioral, discipline, and testing records of the student from all previous schools.
  • Transfer students and IEP students are required to complete a personal interview with an admissions representative.  Parents are required to attend the interview. Applicants may be denied admission based upon an unsatisfactory interview.  A credit review and IEP review will also be conducted to ensure we can serve your student. A student must satisfactorily complete a minimum numbers of credits per semester in order to be accepted. Lake Country Lutheran reserves the right to deny the transfer of certain credits if they do not correspond to the Lake Country Lutheran curriculum.

Enrollment & Course Selection

Accepted students must complete the online enrollment and submit an enrollment fee of $50 and a deposit of $350 as part of the enrollment process.  The deposit will be applied to the students' tuition billing account if enrollment is completed prior to April 15th.  Completing enrollment will also prompt the family to set-up a tuition billing agreement and payment plan.  Note, the enrollment fee and deposit are not required for Parental Choice students.

Students will be notified when they are able to complete course selection.  A complete transcript with all grades will be brought to the course selection appointment.  Students will meet with a staff member who will help them select courses for the upcoming school year.

Shadow Experience

Prospective students are invited to shadow a current LCL student for a day.  This experience gives the prospective student a chance to see what a day at LCL is all about.  Great days to be a guest at LCL are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Please complete the Shadow Request Form and your Director of Admissions will confirm your appointment.

Taylor, Class of '22

"I transferred to LCL second semester of my Junior year, in the middle of COVID, from Florida… and still made friends! A lot of people describe LCL as family, which I agree, it is family, but more than family.  LCL is a home! I feel like no matter where I am these teachers care so much, they know everything about me, and they just feel like home."
