Facilities

Lake Country Lutheran High School is currently functioning in a temporary facility (the former YMCA) at 1101 Silver Lake Street, Oconomowoc, WI 53066. Our lease agreement with the City of Oconomowoc allows us complete access to the entire building including our classrooms, the gym, café, music room, computer lab, and other areas. We have recently begun site preparation/infrastructure work on our land which is located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Highways 16 and 83. Our goal is to have our permanent building constructed by the winter of 2009.

 

Spiritually

This is the most important aspect of our school and what makes us unique among all schools in the Lake Country area. Our philosophy of nurturing all aspects of our student’s lives (spiritual, academic, social, emotional and physical) is permeated by the ethics, morals and standards of the Bible. We seek to enhance and instill Godly principles into our student’s lives on a daily basis throughout all programs and activities.

 

Academics

LCL students consistently score above the national and state norms on standardized tests (i.e. ACT exam). LCL had a student with the only perfect score in the State on the 2004 spring ACT exam. Our AP Biology and AP Statistics students have an unheard of 100% pass rate on the annual national exam, while our AP US History students score in the same range as their state student peers. Ninety-five percent of our graduating seniors have indicated plans to continue their education after high school. Needless to say, a high quality education is certainly available to all Lake Country students.

Parent Involvement “BOLTS” (Body Of Lake Country Lutheran True Supporters)

Currently this auxiliary group supports all co-curricular programs and is governed by elected representatives. The group meets monthly for prayer and planning (i.e. last year they raised over $30,000 which included our annual golf outing in June).

 

Tuition and Fees

Students are charged one comprehensive fee that covers tuition, books, program set-up, grade reports, admission to all school events, plus a fixed amount for the class treasury and for student activities. The comprehensive fee for Lake Country Lutheran High School for the 2007-2008 school year is: $6200.00 PLEASE NOTE: Tuition for the 2007-2008 school year is significantly reduced (most private high schools charge between $6000 - $14000 per year) from the normal rate due to our current status as a growing school. Generous donations assist in providing the lower tuition costs. Our Association is committed to keeping the tuition costs lower during the formative years of the school.
