FRESHMAN RELIGION/BIBLE (RE 100) 9 REQUIRED OF ALL FRESHMEN 2
This course pursues a chronological study of the Old Testament. The faith and the lives of the people, especially in their Covenant relationship with God, are studied in order to provide the student with a fuller and deeper understanding of their own relationship with God. Special emphasis is placed on the Messianic prophecies and their fulfillment in our Lord Jesus Christ.
SOPHOMORE RELIGION/BIBLE (RE 200) 10 REQUIRED OF ALL SOPHOMORES 2
This course focuses on the life of Christ as portrayed in the four Gospels with an emphasis on its impact on the personal life of the student. Through the study of the teachings of Christ as found in the Gospels and the practical applications of these teachings, students learn to apply that knowledge to their spiritual walk with God.
JUNIOR RELIGION/BIBLE (RE 300) 11 REQUIRED OF ALL JUNIORS 2
This course deals with the practical problems of Christian living in the personal and social dimensions of the early New Testament era. An emphasis is placed on understanding the Church as God's mission as shown in the book of Acts helping the student to understand the Church and himself in light of the Christian past. Time is also spent bringing the main thrust of Paul's letters into clear focus - that faith in the gracious righteousness of God makes the person alive to God, himself, and others in the world.
SENIOR RELIGION/BIBLE (RE 400) 12 REQUIRED OF ALL SENIORS 2
Students will be exposed to a systematic study of the Apostolic writings of the New Testament. Based upon the lessons, teachings, and guidance found in scripture, emphasis is placed upon the personal relevance of the student’s faith life and their role as a Christian in the world today.
