Juniors (Class of 2014)

Standardized Testing Juniors should begin preparation for taking the ACT and/or SAT tests during this school year.  It is suggested that students take these tests two or three times before their senior year.  Check the "ACT/SAT" link for more information.  Review nights will be offered in early October and January and will be scheduled soon.  The PSAT is also offered in October of the Junior year.

Spring Semester Meetings All juniors meet with Miss Koopman after they have registered and requested classes for their senior year.  Topics of these meetings with students include appropriate course selection review, planning for college, how to apply to college, and career/major ideas.  Students meet with Miss Koopman during the school day and are scheduled from March through May.

Freshmen (Class of 2016)

Welcome to LCLHS!  We are happy to have you as a member of our school family.  The counseling/guidance office responsibilities include scheduling, planning for college, careers and future coursework at LCLHS, information on scholarships, standardized testing and working with parents, students, teachers, and administration to encourage each student's success in and out of the classroom.  Please contact us with any questions or concerns you might have at any point.

Freshman Planning At the beginning of the 2nd semester of freshman year, all freshman students go through a three day seminar on planning the rest of their high school coursework and looking at college application requirements.  Discussions also include their high school GPA, standardized testing, recommendation letters from teachers, and possible colleges/careers they are thinking about.
